BONIKO meets Laura Mckellar

New products just arraved from Japan, just in time for Design Made Trade!
Collaborating with a Melbourne Illustrator Laura Mackellar, we produced 200 limited edition of Canvas Eco-bag, comes with a BONIKO badge.
Super durable bags are made from 12oz unbleached canvas, with Japanese eco-tag as standard.
With our brief " Your imaginary friends", Laura created these super KAWAII characters " Lamma - Mamma".
(Well, if you have been reading this blog, you might remember the fact we LOVE Alpacas :-)

WINTERLAND at Carrageworks-Sydney

The first night went off with a great selection of bands, we almost forgot to mind our stall!
Then a beautiful girl approached us wishing to purchase one of our selection of vintage beaded cardigans...
Softly spoken, so graceful, I thought she might be a model or a dancer.
Then she told us that she is the last performer tonight and she is going to wear the cardi on the stage, we were so stoked!
When I checked the line up, the last performing band was the Preachers.
When they were on, it was nothing like I was expected from the quiet spoken girl I saw.
Her vocal was so powerful and so amazing they ROCKED!
She kindly gave me an autograph and I got to take a photo with her:-)
We love you Isabella and thank you so much for the great night!!

BONIKO in WINTERLAND

Hello Sydney again.....!
BONIKO is back for WINTERLAND,
in beautiful European inspired Winter market curated by the Finders Keepers crew working alongside CarriageWorks!
These markets will run every weekend throughout July. The Winterland markets will be showcasing a selection of design, art, craft and vintage!
We had a luck to have a stall there on the first week as well as the opening night event!

Along side with our basic organic cotton products, we will be selling a selection of vintage knitwear to keep you warm in WINTERLAND.

Bye Bye Perth, Hello Melbourne

We have a couple of big news....
A sad news and a good news.

BONIKO's SAFEHOUSE will be relocated to Melbourne in July.
We will be trading at current Bon Marche Arcade till the end of June.
You will still see us in Perth at Perth Upmarket, next one is on the 27th June at UWA.

Finders Keepers Photo

We had a super busy time at Finders Keepers at beautiful Carrageworks.
Loved the atmosphere with its industrial look and the instalation....
some pillars were covered with knits. like wearing jumpers!
Both BONIKO and blannnk. received very positive response, and we were so stoked about that.

Our next market is Perth Upmarket on Sunday the 27th at UWA.
We will have a busy and productive time creating new range of stocks after the Finders Keepers madness!
